Can I get rid of a Venous Lake myself?
Do not remove a Venous Lake yourself!
Attempting to remove a Venous Lake yourself is not advised.
The lesion will burst and cause an open wound, potentially resulting in an unsightly scab. After which, the Venous Lake will simply refill and can in fact become larger.
The blood supply that causes a Venous Lake cannot be stopped by either freezing it, squeezing it or ‘popping’ it.
The blood supply to a Venous Lake will only respond to coagulation with laser therapy.
Our Long Pulsed Nd:YAG technology is the optimal solution to removing your unwanted Venous Lake.
